Lisa’s Sex Strike (Northern Broadsides tour, autumn 2007)
A new version of Aristophanes’ classic classic comedy “Lysistrata”, in which women from two communities join forces to stop the war between their men by staging a sex strike. In this adaptation, the setting is a present-day town in the north of England, the women are white and Muslim, and their peace effort involves them occupying a local components factory.
