Wuthering Heights

Unperformed musical, written (circa 1986) in collaboration with the composer Howard Goodall, who had previously adapted Melvyn Bragg’s The Hired Man. Four other musical versions of Emily Bronte’s novel were doing the rounds at the time. Heathcliff, starring Cliff Richard, with lyrics by Tim Rice, was the only one to be staged.
